Low-noise isolation DC filter, 12 Volt 2 Ampere, DC input and outputEnclosed in a compact chassis, RME's unique and innovative active DC filter can filter the output signal from any power supply, bringing it to the quality level of a high-end hi-fi battery, and at the same time isolates possible ground loops or hum thanks to two exclusive features: galvanic isolation and RME's μFilter technology.Galvanic isolation almost completely eliminates the leakage current common to switching power supplies, reducing the coupling capacitance between input and output from 1 nF (nano Farad) to less than 35 pF (pico Farad). The LNI-2 DC works with power sources ranging from 9 V to 18 V DC and always provides a fixed and perfect output value of 12.0 V.RME's μFilter consists of a discrete linear regulator with remarkably low noise, soft start, thermal and overcurrent protection, and is therefore 100% short-circuit proof. Two status LEDs on the top of the unit indicate input and output voltage and overload.As an additional feature, the DC output ground can be connected to earth or another device ground via a screw to solve grounding wiring issues.
