Description

The Fireface 802 FS is a highly integrated professional audio solution, housed in a 19" rack unit, ideal for live and studio environments that require high performance. It is an interface designed for users who want no compromise in terms of sound quality, stability, and latency, and who desire an unparalleled set of professional features. The Fireface 802 FS features new analog and digital electronics with 60 audio channels, high-quality microphone preamplifiers, state-of-the-art converters, a complete effects section, and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz. It also boasts the Active SteadyClock FS function for jitter reduction, individually selectable reference levels for all inputs and outputs, DC-coupled outputs for all 8 analog I/O, standalone functionality, a measurement and analysis toolkit called DigiCheck, and an identical user experience on Windows PC and Mac. The Fireface 802 FS also includes an optional Class Compliant mode (30 I/O channels up to 192 kHz) and allows the use of TotalMix FX for iPad, an RME app that enables control of the Fireface 802 FS interface directly from the iPad, without the need for a computer. The alternative Class Compliant mode can be activated via a built-in switch on the back of the interface.
