Ebony Pinstripe drumheads are made with two plies of Mylar (10 mil and 5 mil), glued proportionally from the center of the head based on its size, thus reducing unwanted overtones and high-frequency tones for greater resonance of "warm" tones.

The rapid sound decay of the Ebony Pinstripes makes them ideal for "fat" Rock and R&B sounds and for those who want a sound with low-end frequencies, but with good attack and moderate response.
