RADIAL J48 MK2

An active direct box optimized for use with +48V phantom power equipment. A digitally controlled DC/DC converter increases the power supply voltage of the electronics from the typical 3 Volts to approximately 10 Volts, which allows for an unprecedented dynamic range, and enables the J48 to be used with acoustic guitars and basses with high-output active pickups without saturation. It's simple, less distortion produces better sound. The Radial J48 was designed from the ground up to offer the most natural sound possible. As direct box manufacturers, Radial believes it is not its job to alter the sound of your 1962 "Fender Jazz Bass", but to maintain and transfer the true character of the instrument to the mixing console without adding distortion or introducing artifacts. This design philosophy has gained a massive following from many of the world's most discerning musicians.
