KORG's Pitchblack XS Bass is a professional chromatic pedal tuner dedicated to the electric bass. Its frequency detection capability allows it to be used with all types of this instrument. Bass-specific tuning circuitry

Pitchblack XS Bass has a frequency detection range that starts from C0 (16.34 Hz), covering more than an octave below the bass guitar's low E string, making it suitable for all types of electric basses, including dropped tunings or 5-string basses.

ULTRA BUFFER technology optimized for bass, switchable to True Bypass

The ULTRA BUFFER technology in Pitchblack XS Bass has been fine-tuned with the bassist's needs in mind to avoid altering the original sound of the instrument. It can be switched from True Bypass to ULTRA BUFFER according to personal preference.

Original and compact design with a large display

On Pitchblack XS Bass, the display and footswitch are integrated into a single compact unit measuring only: 7 x 8 cm, thereby maximizing the display size while saving cabinet space. The cabinet itself is made of metal and powder-coated; its shape allows the switch to respond to any position, regardless of how it is pressed or oriented.

High-visibility LED Meter with adjustable brightness

In addition to the larger display size, the number of LEDs on the Meter of the Pitchblack XS Bass has been increased to further improve visibility. Its brightness can also be adjusted to two different levels, so that the Meter is always visible in any operating condition, from dark stages to outdoors where sunlight can reflect off the screen. Triangular LED indicators on both sides flash to indicate correct tuning, a reliable system for stress-free, perfect intonation every time.

High-precision tuning with a tolerance of only ±0.1 cents

By selecting Strobe mode, high-precision tuning can be performed with only ±0.1 cents of tolerance, ideal for all types of performances from live shows to recording studio sessions, where even the smallest intonation error cannot be overlooked.

Four Meter display modes

Four types of Meter display modes can be selected according to the musician's needs. In addition to the standard "Regular Mode," "Strobe Mode," "Half Strobe Mode," and "Mirror Mode" are available, in which two LEDs overlap from left to right and center to center, indicating changes in frequency, direction, and speed of the Meter's flow, facilitating the detection of even the smallest errors. If "Mirror Mode" is selected, the two LEDs will overlap from left to right and from right to center.
