Description

OT-120 is a chromatic tuner for orchestral instruments, featuring an elegant design, high performance, and easy-to-use functions. It has a dual display, an "analog" meter visible in all conditions, and a backlit LCD screen, which displays the battery level, audio output, tuning fork, note names, and key, while a Dial selects the operating modes. It also has a rear stand that supports the unit. The silver aluminum finish further enhances its elegant and professional appearance.

Key features of KORG OT-120

Vertical design and high visibility.

Can tune a wide range of orchestral instruments.

Extensive support for transposing instruments and historical temperaments.

High-precision tuning.

Low power consumption design.

The "Sound Back" function generates a reference pitch, ideal for intonating wind or string instruments.

KORG OT-120 tunes a wide range of orchestral instruments

The wide range covered by OT-120 (from A0 to C8) allows for tuning of any band or orchestral instrument: woodwinds, brass, strings, or keyboards. The OT-120 also features reference pitch calibration (tuning fork), adjustable from A4 = 349 to 499 Hz (in 1 Hz steps), which allows it to support all concert pitches.

Supports transposing instruments and historical temperaments

Any wind instrument can be easily tuned, as twelve types of transposition are available, both sharps and flats. The multi-temperament function also provides eight presets with the most popular historical temperaments, often used with period instruments.

High-precision tuning

To display the intonation, the OT-120 uses a precise "needle" meter. The response speed of the needle to the input signal can be adjusted to 3 different levels. It is also possible to choose between two tuning modes: Auto, which automatically detects the pitch of a single note played on the input instrument, or Manual, which allows you to specify the desired note name. In manual mode, the needle movement is displayed in a range of ± 500 cents, allowing you to visualize pitch fluctuations over a very wide range. In addition, the LEDs below the needle indicator show pitch differences until the correct pitch is reached. The excellent visibility of the needle indicator and the LEDs make tuning easy even in low-light conditions.

<img alt="To display the intonation, the OT-120 uses a precise "needle" meter. An optional AC adapter (sold separately) can also be used for power.

Sound Back Mode

The OT-120 can generate a reference signal with a five-octave range from C2 (65.41 Hz) to C7 (2093 Hz). During tuning, the reference signal can be heard simultaneously by two or more musicians. Two different output levels can be selected. The built-in speaker always allows optimal listening of the reference signal.

The OT-120 also features the unique "Sound Back" mode

This function allows you to connect a contact microphone CM-300 (optional) to the input jack. As soon as a sound is produced by the connected instrument, the OT-120 automatically generates a reference signal at the frequency closest to that produced by the instrument itself. The indicator also displays the input frequency, thus allowing more accurate tuning than is possible with the ear alone.
The OT-120 also has a built-in microphone that allows it to easily detect the pitch of any acoustic instrument.

Soft case included

The instrument comes with a practical suede soft case.

KORG OT-120 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Scale - 12 Note Equal Temperament, Pythagorean, Werckmeister III, Vallotti, Mean Tone Eb, Kirnberger III, Young, Mean Tone D#, Kellner

Transpose Range - C, C#, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, Bb, B

Detection Range - A0 (27.50 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz)

Reference Tone - C2 (65.41 Hz) – C7 (2093 Hz), 5 Octaves, 2 volume levels

Tuning Modes - AUTO (SLOW, MEDIUM, FAST), MANUAL, SOUND BACK

Calibration (Tuning Fork Adjustment) - A4 = 349 – 499 Hz (in 1 Hz steps)

Detection Accuracy - ± 1 cent

Reference Tone Accuracy - ± 1.5 Cent

Input Connectors - INPUT (1/4” phone jack),

Output - OUTPUT (1/4” phone jack), DC IN (9 V)

Power Supply - AAA batteries x 2 or AC adapter (optional)

Battery Life - approximately 100 hours (with alkaline batteries), Meter mode: MEDIUM, continuous A440 input, without backlight

Dimensions (W x D x H) - 74 x 120 x 36 mm / 2.91” x 4.72” x 1.42”

Weight - 193 g / 6.81 oz.

Included Accessories - Soft case

Optional Accessories - AC adapter, contact microphone CM-300
