The Halcyon Green Overdrive is the first pedal to feature our new Adaptive Circuitry. This unique design allows this simple pedal to adapt its sound in response to your pick attack and volume changes, making it one of the most dynamic and interactive overdrives around. 

We took the Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer as our starting point, but this pedal is much more than just a clone.

The Tube Screamer is an all-time classic: with its mid-forward tone, low-gain drive and a touch of clean signal, it is considered a great choice for players who want to cut through the mix for a solo.

But by lowering the guitar's volume or playing softly, that mid-boosted drive tone becomes subtle and nasal. It is the "all or nothing" nature of classic drive pedals that makes us accumulate numerous pedals for various shades of saturation.

Our ADAPT switch allows the mid-forward tone to gradually fade away as the pedal returns to clean, giving you the classic TS808 sound but revealing the full spectrum of your clean tone as you roll back the volume knob. In essence, you can vary the pedal's sound by adjusting your guitar's volume or playing dynamically.

Despite being our simplest pedal, there are still many features beyond those of the original pedal, with two ADAPT settings, a DRY level control to adjust the clean signal, and a choice of VOICE settings. Select 808 for the classic TS808 mid-hump or MOD for a brighter, more targeted presence peak, which works great when reinforcing high-gain tones or adding extra bite to humbuckers. Of course, all the standard TS808 sounds are also available, if you wish, accurately recreated.
