NXT4a Omni Bass is the 4-string Omni Bass from the NXTa series by NS Design, featuring a 34" scale, designed for bassists seeking the characteristics of a double bass or, conversely, for double bassists who want a more portable instrument.

OVERVIEW

Thanks to its familiar 34" scale, the NXT4a is suitable for bassists who want to add the character and expressiveness of the double bass to their performances. The NXTa series Omni Basses are made in the Czech Republic, with the same care as the renowned CR series Omni Basses.

MAIN FEATURES OF THE NXT4a OMNI BASS

Polar™ Pickup System
The Polar™ pickup system delivers a rich sound whether bowed or plucked. The NXT4a Omni Bass responds to the bow with a natural and expressive sound, rich in lows with bright harmonics.

Dual Mode Output
The NXT4a's Dual Mode electronics take the versatility and performance of this instrument to another level. Using the included power supply for 60 seconds powers the active circuit for the next 16 hours. In active mode, the instrument can be connected directly to a low or high impedance device, without the need for a D.I. Box. Since there is no signal loss across the frequency spectrum, every note sounds clear and strong even with very long cables. Passive mode is suitable when using a D.I. or an amplifier with a high impedance input.

Fingerboard
The TransRadius™ fingerboard profile is familiar to the neck profile of an electric bass. This configuration makes it easy to play with either a bow, fingers, or a pick. The asymmetrical fingerboard ensures a rich sound on both high and low notes.

34" Scale
The 34" scale of the NXT4a Omni Bass is the same as an electric bass, and the fingerboard has the same fret spacing as a bass. These features and the tuning in fourths make this instrument familiar to any bassist.

Construction
The maple body and neck, along with the graduated fingerboard, offer a rich and full sound. The bridge and truss rod are fully adjustable for a low, fast action, or high for a traditional acoustic style.

Boomerang™ Strap System
The included Boomerang™ Strap System allows for maximum mobility on stage and in the studio. The strap sits on the shoulder similar to an electric guitar, but the adjustable arm allows the instrument to remain perfectly in position.

Using the supplied Power Charger to recharge your instrument's preamp in seconds is really convenient. But what happens if you unfortunately forget or lose the Power Charger?

Don't despair! Although we don't promote the use of batteries, in this case the only two things you'll need to charge your system are a stereo cable and a common 9V battery.

Insert the stereo cable into your instrument, touch the ring of the connector to the positive terminal and the sleeve to the negative terminal. Maintain the position for about 60 seconds and play your instrument for a good 16 hours. The system will not be damaged if the connector/battery contact is accidentally made incorrectly.
