NXT4a Electric Violin is the 4-string electric violin from the NXTa series by NS Design, equipped with new active electronics. Made according to precise criteria in the Czech Republic, the NXTa series offers physical and sonic elegance, setting a new standard for performance and versatility.

OVERVIEW

Ergonomics and light weight are key factors for good performance for any electric violin. Thanks to left-hand reference points and a removable frame, the NXTa series violins are easy to play. At 585g, the NXT4a is one of the lightest electric string violins on the market.

NXT4a KEY FEATURES

Polar™ Pickup
The heart of this series is the Polar™ system, whose piezoelectric components convert string vibration directly into an output signal. This provides a balanced and rich output, with a wide range of expressive opportunities. Whether bowed or plucked, the strings vibrate differently, and the Polar™ system, thanks to two selectable modes via a switch, faithfully captures both types of vibrations.

NXTa Dual Mode Output
The new DUAL MODE electronics bring greater versatility. The active mode does not require constant power: simply connect the violin to the charger for 60 seconds for up to 16 hours of performance. The instrument can be connected to devices with high or low impedance, without the need for a DI Box. With no signal loss, the sound remains rich in harmonics even with very long cables.

Custom Shoulder Rest
This instrument is one of the lightest on the market and comes with the NS Design shoulder rest which, thanks to its padding and aluminum base, fits the musician's body perfectly.

Adjustable Bridge
The bridge can be adjusted using the appropriate adjustment screws.

Volume: adjusts overall volume;
Tone: adjusts high frequencies;
Push/Pull: located on the Tone knob, selects active or passive mode;
2-way Switch: selects Bow or Pizzicato mode.

Using the included Power Charger to recharge your instrument's preamp in seconds is really convenient. But what if you unfortunately forget or lose the Power Charger?

Don't despair! While we don't promote the use of batteries, in this case the only two things you'll need to charge your system are a stereo cable and a common 9V battery.

    

Insert the stereo cable into your instrument, touch the connector's ring to the positive terminal and the sleeve to the negative terminal. Hold for about 60 seconds and play your instrument for a good 16 hours. The system will not be damaged if the connector/battery contact is accidentally made incorrectly.
