Description

The White Spot is a distortion pedal capable of delivering numerous tonal nuances, also thanks to the ability to change the integrated circuit. In fact, an additional integrated circuit is available in the package: the standard one is marked with an M (Modern) while the other is marked with a V (Vintage). The controls are Volume, Gain, Tone, a switch for boost and one for clipping. There are three amplification stages, two take place in the integrated circuit and one via a transistor. The Gain control acts on the first stage while clipping is positioned in the second stage. The boost switch bypasses the tone section for part of the signal output from the second stage, consequently when the switch is activated the tone control will be slightly less effective but the overall timbre will be richer and more aggressive. The clipping is light but absolutely perceptible, rounding and compressing the signal just enough to make the pick attacks uniform. The included integrated circuits provide different timbres: the modern one offers more gain for a compact and full sound, while the vintage one is less distorted and freer. The choice is yours. The White Spot is a decidedly rock pedal and will be able to provide enough drive, volume, and timbre to make its mark in any situation.
