The Shure MVX2U Gen 2 is a single-channel XLR-to-USB-C digital audio interface designed to simplify recording and streaming with XLR microphones on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. Its extremely compact size and direct USB-C power eliminate the need for external power supplies and superfluous cabling, making the interface suitable for both fixed setups and fully mobile workflows. It can be used as a direct “plug-on” connection to the microphone or in-line on an XLR cable, adapting to any configuration with maximum operational flexibility.

Total compatibility with dynamic and condenser microphones

The MVX2U Gen 2 supports any dynamic or condenser XLR microphone, providing up to +60 dB of clean gain and +48V phantom power. The gain range is sufficient even for low-sensitivity microphones, allowing an adequate level to be obtained without external preamplifiers. The audio path is designed to remain transparent and neutral, preserving the original tonal character of the connected microphone.

Integrated zero-latency Shure DSP

The interface features integrated Shure digital processing, which operates directly on the hardware with zero latency. Functions include Auto Level Mode, which automatically adjusts gain in real-time to maintain a consistent level, Real-Time Denoiser to reduce unwanted ambient noise, and Digital Popper Stopper™ to attenuate plosives in speech. These tools allow for clean and intelligible results even in untreated environments, maintaining sonic consistency between recordings and live streams.

Advanced control via Shure MOTIV app

Interface settings are managed via the Shure MOTIV apps for desktop and mobile devices. From the app, you can control gain, phantom power, monitor mix, and activate or deactivate the DSP, as well as adjust EQ, compression, limiter, and high-pass filter. Configurations are stored directly within the MVX2U Gen 2, allowing you to move a project between smartphones, tablets, and computers while maintaining consistent sound.

Direct monitoring and integrated headphone output

The Shure MVX2U Gen 2 integrates a 3.5mm headphone output that allows for direct, zero-latency monitoring of the input signal and playback. This allows you to hear exactly what is being recorded or transmitted, adjusting the balance between the direct signal and software return in real-time. Direct monitoring reduces the risk of errors during vocal recordings, podcasts, interviews, and streaming sessions.

The interface is compatible with macOS and Windows systems, as well as iOS and Android devices with USB-C, and is MFi certified for compatible iPhones and iPads.
