First introduced in 1976, the StingRay has been revered as one of the most iconic basses in history.

The StingRay was the first four-string bass produced with active onboard equalization.

The flagship of the Music Man line, today's StingRay, is the same as forty years ago, featuring solid construction that makes it able to handle any tour, a massive hardened steel bridge, elegant oval pickguard, 3+1 configuration tuning machines, and the ever-popular Music Man humbucker.

The combination of all these elements creates decidedly unmistakable sounds, feel, and looks.

SCULPTED 5-BOLT NECK JOINT

The sculpted joint allows easy access to all 22 stainless steel frets of the new roasted maple necks.

The new rounded contours ensure greater comfort in any position, while retaining the StingRay's signature sound.

POWERFUL NEODYMIUM PICKUPS

The new StingRay electronics boast powerful neodymium magnets that offer more power and a wider range of sounds.

NEW 18-VOLT PREAMP

A newly designed 18-volt 3-band preamp for cleaner headroom allows you to select any sound, from modern punch to classic and vintage tones.

Weighing only 3.63 Kg, the StingRay is lighter than ever, yet still retains all its power.

NEW HARDWARE DESIGN.
