The Musicman Darkray Starry Night 4-string electric bass is Music Man's 5-string electric bass made in collaboration with DarkGlass Electronics.

It features a selected hardwood body, roasted maple neck, and ebony fretboard with a 34" (86.4 cm) scale length and 22 high-profile stainless steel frets.

The bridge is a black-plated Vintage Music Man® top-loaded bridge, with a steel bridge plate and black-plated vintage steel saddles. The tuning machines are custom lightweight Music Man tuners with tapered shafts and an ergonomic design.

For electronics, this model features a neodymium humbucker pickup managed by the DarkGlass preamplifier, offering 3 modes (clean, alpha, and omega) and controls for volume, gain, bass, treble, and blend.

The 2-band EQ preamplifier designed by Darkglass specifically for DarkRay offers three distinct and useful sound modes: Clean, Alpha (distortion), and Omega (fuzz).

Both distortion circuits are fully blendable thanks to the integrated gain knob and adjustable blend control.

You can achieve an amazing clean sound, a slight gain, or a brutal fuzz tone, all without losing low-end. A bright LED ring and 3-way toggle switch indicate the bass's current mode.
