Description

The Subsequent 37 is a paraphonic (2-note) analog synthesizer built on the multi-award-winning architecture of the powerful Sub 37 Tribute Edition. The control panel features 40 potentiometers and 74 selectors for immediate control over a wide range of analog sound design tools and sequencer control. The Subsequent 37, as requested by users, now implements several sonic and functional improvements. Each improvement maintains the magic and characteristics of its predecessor, while offering access to new dimensions of sound and improved playability. The mixer section of the Subsequent 37 offers double the headroom of the Sub 37 Tribute Edition. This allows access to a new range of classic clean tones in both mono and duo modes. Leveraging the new flexibility of the mixer, the gain stage in the Ladder filter has been redesigned to increase harmonic saturation and analog compression, which leads to an overall enrichment of the low end. Completing the sonic evolution of the Subsequent 37, the Multidrive circuit has been revised, now extending well beyond the "grit and growl" of the original Sub 37. In addition to the enhanced sound engine, the Subsequent 37 offers an updated keyboard for improved playability, an enhanced headphone amplifier powerful enough to be used with the most demanding headphones, and a software plugin/editor for both Windows and Mac.
