Description

Mavis is a compact, feature-rich, full-featured analog synthesizer. The built-in keyboard, internally pre-wired connections, and powerful synthesis engine provide Mavis with a wealth of sound generation options. A full set of patch points makes Mavis a true modular synthesizer, perfect for both studio and live stage use, with other modular or semi-modular systems, or with Eurorack instruments and other electronic devices. Supplied with a practical kit for an assembly operation that takes only a few minutes, once assembled it allows you to have a 100% self-built analog Moog synthesizer. Mavis's powerful Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) is paired with a Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF) designed like the legendary Moog Ladder Filter. Modulation sources such as the Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) and the four-stage Envelope Generator (EG) add dynamic movement to the sound, with the integrated one-octave keyboard making it all at your fingertips. With an unprecedented array of extra features, the Utilities (UTL) and Patchbay allow for operations that will be particularly appreciated by all modular synthesis enthusiasts. Here you'll find a wave folder distorter, a 2-input/1-output mixer, a variable attenuator, a modular multiple, and even a Sample + Hold Generator (S+H). Mavis is also the first Moog instrument ever to offer a Wave Folder, another very interesting technique available within this synth for changing the harmonic content of the sound.
