These are just some of the distinctive features that make microKORG XL+ completely outperform other similar instruments in this category, thus enhancing your experience in editing synthesizer sounds.</p><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>MMT – the best of KORG's physical analog modeling technology</strong></h2><p style="text-align: justify;">The sound synthesis system of microKORG XL+ uses KORG's proprietary physical modeling technology, MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology), already successfully used in numerous other products, which provides two oscillators capable of generating sounds with great sonic impact. Oscillator 1 offers 7 different types of oscillator algorithms to choose from, including formant waveforms, like human voices, PCM/DWGS to reproduce vintage keyboard and string sounds. It also allows the use of sound processing techniques that cannot be reproduced by PCM-based synthesizers, such as Cross Modulation, Unison mode, and VPM (Variable Phase Modulation). By leveraging modulation (Sync or ring) with Oscillator 2, it's easy to create complex and powerful sounds.</p><h2 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Vocoder with built-in microphone and gooseneck support</strong></h2><p style="text-align: justify;">microKORG XL+ has a powerful built-in Vocoder, which allows you to connect a microphone and use its audio signal to modify the timbre character of the oscillator sound, thus creating the characteristic "talking" effects. The Vocoder consists of a bank of 16 filters capable of accurately simulating vintage Vocoder sounds. The frequency of each filter can be modified (Format Shift function), and it is possible to adjust the level and pan of each band, to drastically change the overall timbre character.
