Description

The MIA B400ce is Eko Guitars' electrified acoustic bass, amplified with the Fishman Flex Blend system. It features a D-shaped cutaway body with a solid cedar top, 3-ply laminated Ovangkol back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard. Ideal for bassists who perform live and in the recording studio.

OVERVIEW OF THE EKO GUITARS MIA B400ce

The MIA B400ce comes in a Natural color with a Gloss finish, and features a Dreadnought cutaway shape, which allows the bassist to easily reach the higher frets. The combination of a solid cedar top and Ovangkol back and sides, the result of careful research, gives this instrument a very broad and always well-balanced tonal spectrum on each individual string. A very important feature is the presence of a high-performance amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: consisting of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows every nuance of the bass to be captured thanks to the ability to gradually add the signal picked up by the microphone to the piezo signal, via a "blend" potentiometer. In addition to the output volume and blend controls, there is a display tuner (activatable by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in "mid-scooped" mode: when at minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat); as it increases, the mid frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of the bass and treble. In the event that the bass experiences feedback problems, a very common situation in acoustic settings, it is possible to invert the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer. All these features make the MIA B400ce a suitable instrument for professional contexts, both in the recording studio and on stage.
