The 4-string electric bass, limited edition Markbass Mb Kimandu Artisan Silver 4 Bk Richard Bona Signature, features a lightweight Okoume body, a 34" scale 24-fret maple fingerboard, and a maple neck with graphite rods.

The bridge is a Markbass Custom bridge 4-string with zinc saddles, black.

The electronics are strictly Markbass with soapbar pickups.

This extraordinary series of basses is the result of a great collaboration between Richard Bona and Marco De Virgiliis, who have adhered to the fundamental principle they share: they accept no compromises.

Richard is one of the most appreciated and respected musicians worldwide, and from the beginning of this project, he stated that he would never put his name (and his fingers) on an instrument that does not offer the highest quality standards. Kimandu basses share the same appeal, design, and philosophy as the products in the hi-end Kilimanjaro series; the same key features have been maintained, but the production process has been optimized, allowing for this incredible price.

The MB Instrument Pre was created after numerous tests and built with the best components on the market.

Markbass has concentrated all its know-how into this ultra-compact circuit and has chosen the right frequencies for the best sound reproduction.

Its tone control circuits have been designed not only to enhance these frequencies but also to provide a unique and rich response when boosting and cutting, always offering a very clean and focused bass sound without losing detail.

Furthermore, the circuits have been developed to offer fairly subtle volume differences when switching from passive to active and vice versa: a feature highly valued by all musicians.

It offers a wide range of wiring options/applications and operates at 9V or 18V, with very low power consumption.
