The entire Marco Polo series is All Solid, meaning the solid top, back, and sides enhance the wood's natural characteristics, resulting in a particularly specific tone. The combination of Solid Italian Spruce on the top and Solid Ovangkol on the back and sides, the result of careful research, gives this instrument a very wide and well-balanced tonal spectrum on each individual string. A decidedly important feature is the presence of a very high-performance amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: composed of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows to capture every nuance of the guitar thanks to the possibility of gradually adding the signal from the microphone to the piezo signal, via a "blend" potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the Output Volume and blend, there is a display tuner (activable by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in "mid-scooped" mode: when set to minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat); as it is increased, the mid frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of lows and highs, very convenient for getting a sound that is already "ready" for the mix. If the guitar experiences feedback issues, a very common situation in acoustic environments, it is possible to invert the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer.
