OVERVIEW OF THE EKO GUITARS MARCO POLO P500e MM

The Marco Polo P500e MM comes in a Natural color with an Open Pore finish and a Parlor shape, typical of guitars used in Folk music. The entire Marco Polo series is all-solid, meaning it has a solid top, back, and sides, which enhances the wood's natural characteristics for a particularly specific tonal quality. The presence of solid Mahogany on the top, back, and sides, the result of careful research, gives this instrument a very particular tonal spectrum, with lower volumes compared to a dreadnought, but with better control over individual voices thanks to excellent string balance. A particularly important feature is the presence of a very high-performing amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: consisting of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows every nuance of the guitar to be captured thanks to the ability to gradually add the signal from the microphone to the piezo's signal via a "blend" potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the Output Volume and blend, there is a display tuner (activated by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in "mid-scooped" mode: when set to minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat), and as it is increased, the mid frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of lows and highs, very convenient for obtaining a sound that is already "ready" for the mix. If the guitar experiences feedback issues, a common situation in acoustic settings, the phase can be inverted by pressing the EQ potentiometer. All these features make the Marco Polo P500e MM an instrument suitable for professional contexts, both in the recording studio and on stage.
