Akai Professional LPK25 MKII is a 2-octave mini USB MIDI keyboard with velocity-sensitive keys, an integrated arpeggiator synchronizable via MIDI Clock, and octave transpose buttons. Ultra-compact, measuring 348x102x38mm, extremely lightweight at only 450 grams, and powered by computer via USB, the Akai Professional LPK25 MKII is the ideal choice for those who compose and produce music on the go and for anyone looking for a space-saving solution for their home recording setup. Thanks to the new generation keybed – the same one used in the MPKmini MKIII – with improved synth-action dynamic response, this 25-key USB MIDI Controller will allow you to comfortably play your virtual instruments and control your DAW software. Thanks to the octave transpose buttons, it will be possible to manage the entire MIDI extension range: 127 notes, 10 octaves. With the Sustain button, you can simulate pedal control of the same function.

LPK25 MKII is a class-compliant USB device, requiring no drivers to function and universally compatible with all operating systems, as well as with all latest generation electronic musical instruments equipped with a USB Type-A port that support external MIDI controllers: from the Force to the MPC series from Akai Professional, from the Nautilus to the drumlogue from Korg, etc.

The arpeggiator integrated into the AKAI PRO LPK25MKII

Don't let the size fool you, in your LPK25 MKII you'll find an arpeggiator that is on par with those integrated into more expensive hardware synthesizers. With a 4-octave range and its 7 selectable operating modes (Up, Down, Exclusive, Inclusive, Order, Random, and Latching), you can create rhythmic-melodic phrases by playing single notes or chords.

You can vary the rhythmic division of arpeggios by choosing between 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 values, normal or triplet, and apply Swing (50%, 55%, 59%, 61%, or 64%) to experiment with interesting rhythmic variations. You can also manually set the arpeggiator speed from 30 to 240 BPM, or synchronize it via MIDI Clock to keep time with your favorite DAW software or virtual instrument.

8 Programs directly in the AKAI PRO LPK25MKII

A downloadable software editor from the AKAI Professional website allows you to configure some additional functions, such as semitone step transpose, etc. Once you have created your preset settings in the editor, you can transfer them directly to your LPK25MKII USB MIDI keyboard to recall them at any time. There are a total of 8 Program memories (setting presets) that can be saved and recalled directly from the keyboard itself.

IMPORTANT:
AKAI Professional LPK25 MKII is a controller that generates and sends MIDI messages via USB for controlling software, applications, or musical hardware compatible with the universal MIDI standard. It does not have internal sounds and functions exclusively by sending control messages that will be translated by your music software into sound, which will then output from your audio interface. The keyboard therefore does not have an audio output.
