The acoustic piano sound

It is based on two accurate Stereo Multi Samples: Classic Piano and Grand Piano, which incorporate important details such as String Resonance, i.e., the resonance that occurs in the real instrument when the Damper pedal is pressed. This increases the level of realism and makes this instrument even more enjoyable to play. To reproduce the playing sensation as close as possible to that of an authentic acoustic piano, four different dynamic-timbral levels can be recalled via keyboard dynamics; from the most delicate pianissimo to the most aggressive fortissimo, the instrument always responds realistically to your playing technique.

The RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer) keyboard

The RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer) keyboard reproduces the same tactile sensation as the mechanism of a real concert piano, including the gradual weighting between the bass and treble regions of the keyboard itself; the response in playing repeated notes has also been further improved, so the fastest passages can be played without compromising expressiveness and fluidity. The Key Touch Control function selects 3 different dynamic curves, adapting the instrument to personal playing technique, enabling a wide range of expressive nuances.

RH3 is an ecological Keybed that respects the environment: no lead is used in its hammers.

Vintage electric piano timbres

KORG has paid particular attention to creating electric piano sounds. The advanced sound generation system not only faithfully reproduces the typical dynamic timbral variations of these instruments but also generates the characteristic noises caused by key release. Six timbral variations are available, covering the most typical sounds used in 60s and 70s pop and soul music.

30 High-quality sounds

The LP-380-BK U features a total of 30 high-quality and expressive timbres; two sounds can be layered simultaneously, and the Partner mode is available, which divides the keyboard into two parts (right and left), allowing two performers to use the same musical pitches on the keyboard, listening to the instrument from the two independent headphone outputs, ideal for lessons with a teacher. In addition, 9 different temperaments are available for playing early music repertoire in a manner consistent with period instruments.

The effects

Each timbre can be processed by three effects: Brilliance, which adjusts the overall brightness, Reverb, which simulates the natural environment (reverberation), and Chorus, which adds modulation and spaciousness.

High-quality and dynamic amplification

The internal amplification system (2 x 22 Watts) provides the highest dynamic performance in this product class, reproducing piano sounds with fidelity and timbral richness, returning all the dynamics of the real instrument, with deep bass and brilliant highs. The position of the two large-diameter speakers (10 cm) within the cabinet adds a more natural depth and resonance to the sound; creating the sensation that the sound propagates from the entire instrument with a highly realistic sound image.

Elegant design

The LP-380-BK U adapts to any environment and decor, with a depth of only 26 cm. Slim enough to fit into any living space, the wooden key cover is flat on top, allowing the instrument to blend elegantly into the environment when not in use. The key cover uses a special mechanism for progressive and secure closing. The combination of elements such as the RH3 keyboard, the 3 pedals, and the amplification system ensures the perfect reproduction of all elements of a real concert piano.

LINE OUT Jack: This output (mini stereo jack) connects the instrument to an external amplification system or recorder.

Metronome: The built-in metronome allows you to set the musical meter, tempo, volume; and accents, to study the piano with rigor and rhythmic precision.

Standard Pedal Set: LP-380-BK U features the three pedals typical of a concert acoustic piano. It also supports the "half pedal" function (Half-pedaling) on the Damper and Soft pedals.

USB/MIDI & AUDIO Port (type "B"): By connecting LP-380-BK U to a computer with a USB cable, you can use the piano to control external sound sources, or use the computer to control the piano. It is also
possible to directly record the audio produced by LP-380-BK U via USB, without the need for an additional sound card, as well as listen to audio transmitted from the computer through the amplification of LP-380-BK U.
