Create with Launchpad X

Creating tracks in Ableton Live is simplified by quickly and easily launching clips and scenes via the Launchpad X's 64 velocity and pressure-sensitive RGB pads. Thanks to Capture MIDI control, you'll never lose a single note or command.

Freedom of expression

The Dynamic Note and Scale functions allow you to easily perform basslines, melodies, chords, and solo parts perfectly in tune. The pads are among the most responsive: velocity-sensitive and equipped with polyphonic aftertouch. You can play devices and virtual instrument plugins dynamically and expressively.

Full control

Transport controls are at your fingertips: stop, solo, mute, record arm. The same goes for setting volumes, pan, and sends. Using Launchpad X is very simple: no drivers need to be installed, just plug it in.

Software Components

Components is a Novation product management hub; you can access new sound packs, manage sound content, customize your device, and stay updated with the latest firmware.

Logic Pro Live Loops

Live Loops in Logic Pro allows cell-based loop playback and performance. Using the Launchpad X MkIII as a Live Loops controller, you can use cells to develop ideas and record them. Setup is automatic: simply select the Launchpad from Logic's Control Surface Setup. Orientation options are available in Logic's settings, allowing you to choose vertical or rotated layouts, depending on your preferences. (Requires Logic Pro 10.6 or later).

Custom Mode (from firmware 2.0)

Firmware version 2.0 and Novation Components 1.32 introduce the exciting Custom Mode widget. You can maintain creativity while making music by assigning essential DAW shortcuts to the Launchpad grid via Novation Components software, for a faster and more intuitive workflow. Four additional slots are added for a total of 8 presets in Launchpad X for Custom Mode.
