Korg Taktile and Triton Taktile offer the following controls: 2 wheels (one for pitch bend, the other assignable), 16 pads, 8 buttons, 8 faders and 8 rotary potentiometers (only on 49-key models), plus 7 additional buttons dedicated to specific DAW control functions: marker, forward, rewind, play, stop, rec, cycle. The 8 buttons located under the faders allow you to manage SOLO, MUTE functions, or arm DAW software tracks when operating in control surface mode. In TRITON models, these can also be used to select the sound category: acoustic and electric pianos, keyboards, strings and choirs, brass and woodwinds, guitar and plucked instruments, basses, synths, drums and effects. In all Taktile series models, you will find a multi-function X/Y touch pad located in the center of the master keyboard. This allows you to play virtual instruments installed on your computer in Kaossilator style, generating MIDI notes by simply moving your finger across its surface to reproduce musical scales. The touch pad can also function as a real mouse (track pad), with classic functions such as two-finger vertical scrolling, click, etc. In "Control" mode, the same touch pad can be used to send MIDI Control Change messages from the X and Y axes.

The Pads, 8 in the 25-key versions and 16 in the 49-key versions, are backlit (different LED colors per bank) and velocity-sensitive. These are divided into two banks (A and B). In addition to sending MIDI note messages, and thus being usable as triggers for percussion, drum sounds, loops and clips, they can be used to store and play MIDI chords. We can use the "Chord Scale" function, which automatically generates chords based on the root note and scale set by the user, or play them from the keyboard and store them directly on the pads. A MIDI arpeggiator with 6 different arpeggio types and 50 assignable rhythmic patterns completes the range of functions available in Korg Taktile series keyboards to stimulate your artistic flair. The Chord Scale, Touch Scale touch pad functions and the arpeggiator will speed up the composition of melodic patterns and chord progressions, and will be of great help both to those who are not very familiar with the keyboard and to those who, especially in live sets, want to manage multiple controls simultaneously.

Korg Taktile series master keyboards come with a rich set of presets for the most widely used DAWs in music production and recording: Steinberg Cubase, Ableton Live, Apple Garage Band 10, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, SONAR X2, Digital Performer 8, etc. Being standard MIDI controllers, any software, even if not listed above, can take advantage of the controls and functions available in these USB MIDI keyboards.
