If you're a fan of the powerful and incisive analog synthesizer sounds typical of 70s Prog, characteristic of many hits and productions of that period, or if you prefer a tactile and direct approach to these instruments to research and create the most suitable timbres for your productions, the MS-20 FS (Full Size) is once again available in a limited edition. This renowned and widely used KORG analog synthesizer from the 70s meets these needs!

This version is a re-edition of the original, faithful in every detail from design to size to electronic circuitry. Even today, 40 years after its introduction, musicians are still captivated by the analog sound of the KORG MS-20.

The MS-20 FS Full Size is presented in a limited edition, fully assembled and available in 4 colours with a durable and resistant powder coating: Green, White, Metallic Blue (MBLUE), and Black (NERO).

Exact replica of the original circuitry

MS-20 FS - Special Edition is a perfect replica of the Vintage MS-20. The design team was led by the same engineers as the original model, with the aim of recreating exactly the same circuitry, but above all the same sound, meticulously evaluating with careful comparisons the use of substitute components among those no longer available on the market today.

The strictly analog subtractive synthesis structure is obviously that of the MS-20. The MS-20 FS - Special Edition has two oscillators with Ring Modulation, envelope generators, Hold and Delay. The electronics have been further optimized to improve audio performance without changing its structure.

Filters are the modules that define the overall timbre of an analog synth. On the MS-20 we have two very efficient ones: a High-Pass and a Low-Pass, both with resonance that can be emphasized up to self-oscillation, a sonic characteristic that many consider inimitable on this instrument. Midway through its production cycle, KORG modified the filter circuitry on the MS-20. The MS-20 FS - Special Edition uses both versions of the filters implemented with a versatility unknown to the original models; a simple key combination when powering on the instrument allows recalling the desired version.

The ESP - External Signal Processor is another highly appreciated feature of this synthesizer; this module allows you to connect an external audio signal, using its frequency and amplitude to control the sound generator; for example, you can connect an electric guitar and use the MS-20 FS as a Guitar Synth, or a microphone and use a vocal signal to generate melodic lines with the synthesizer.

The Patchbay integrated on the right side of the panel is a significant strength of the MS-20 FS. The semi-modular architecture of this instrument already provides the user with the basic connections between the various synth modules, allowing for immediate use; however, through the Patch By, it is possible to set up further connections between the various circuits for control and modulation, thus obtaining even more articulated sounds, limited only by our imagination!
