You can only stand in its way and be torn to shreds, or join the legendary beast, receiving the blessing of its dark and distorted powers and its tearing sonic screams.

The choice is easy. Eternal glory to the mighty WURM! With the WURM Distortion pedal, KMA Machines has written a much-appreciated, yet brazen, love letter to the legendary dirty, distorted, "death and destruction" sound of the first Boss HM-2 MIJ, taking it far beyond and exceeding the limits of its destructive capabilities.

With an iconic black and orange livery, reminiscent of this inspiration, WURM 2 retains the original ingredients of what is now a KMA classic, adding the option to switch between different EQ settings directly from the pedal's front panel.

Furthermore, we have compressed it into an even smaller and more pedalboard-friendly enclosure with top-mounted jacks, improved the electronics, and equipped it with silent relay-based switching, all to make WURM 2 an even more flexible metal distortion pedal than it already was.

Often defining a pedal as "legendary," a classic, a cult, is a bit of a manipulation of the truth, but when it comes to the Boss HM-2 MIJ, these are absolutely the most appropriate terms.

Thanks to its brutal and devastating sounds, bands like Dismember and Entombed were able to give birth to Swedish chainsaw metal.

Although WURM 2 is capable of replicating those death-metal sounds perfectly, its thick wall of sound and distinctive sustain make it suitable for other genres as well – it's also a perfect pedal for many other styles, from Shoegaze to Prog Rock.

To give you an idea, musicians of the caliber of David Gilmour, Prince, Johnny Marr, Belinda Butcher, Lee Ranaldo, Daron Malakian, and many others have made this type of distortion their trademark.

Obviously, we have maintained the iconic 2-band EQ section of the HM-2, adding 2 additional bands, allowing for a vast range of sounds to customize your distortion and your sound in an even nastier and grittier way.

Additionally, each band has an internal trim-pot that acts on the center of the various frequencies to refine your sound even further, if necessary.

For the WURM pedal, we designed our own EQ section, adding an EQ Style switch to give you different sonic options. In WURM 2, this is now located directly on the front panel, making it even easier to operate for different on-the-fly sonic options.

Selecting HM-II mode will give you the classic mid-heavy chainsaw sound. If, on the other hand, you choose KMA mode, the entire EQ will be more balanced, with less pronounced peaks and a wider response. If "balanced" and "less pronounced peaks" seems boring to you, select BOTH to fatten up the sound, coupling the two EQ sections and doubling the tone stacking, the lows and high-mids will be more pronounced, and that Swedish forest will be immediately torn to shreds!

However, with all these tone-shaping options, the pedal could, at extreme settings, easily go into feedback.

To help you tame all that high-frequency content in such circumstances, we have added an internal control that slightly smooths everything out.

Activating the dip-switch activates the input filter, which helps to contain high frequencies when the controls are used at their extremes.

The TERROR control generates all the distorted, nasty, and diabolical sounds you are looking for.

Push it to the max and you'll feel the tremor of WURM 2 under your feet, tremors that would scare even a young Chuck Norris to death!
