Kma Gardian of the Wurm Metal Distortion


With the KMA Audio Machines Guardian of the Wurm, the effects forge from Berlin's Karl-Marx-Allee sends a particularly flexible Distortion effect pedal into the race, which provides the popular KMA Wurm metal monster with a guardian in the form of a first-class noise gate. While the Gate has a simple design with just one knob, the Distortion has a wide range of options for shaping the perfect metal sound.


Extremely versatile distortion

Inspired by the popular Wurm, the KMA Machines Guardian of the Wurm's Distortion circuit promises enormous freedom in shaping the sound, without denying its descent from the raw chainsaw sound of Swedish death metal.


Three clipping modes determine the basic character of the sound, with asymmetrical clipping with less compression and a full bypass of the clipping diodes available in addition to the silicon setting with classic voicing.


The 4-band graphic equalizer offers selectable center frequencies for each fader and up to 8 dB of boost or cut to optimally adjust the tone.


A practical detail is also the blend control, which mixes the clean signal on request to achieve pressure and definition.


Noise Gate with external trigger option

The KMA Guardian of the Wurm's Noise Gate features a fast response that not only reliably eliminates unwanted ambient noise, but also adds the necessary articulation and punch to fast-played staccato riffs.

While the Gate knob sets the threshold value of the Gate, its response can be adjusted via an internal control. The Guardian of the Wurm's trigger input also allows the Gate to be controlled via an external signal source.

Effects loop

Last but not least, KMA Machines equips the Guardian of the Wurm with an effects loop that can be used via an optional insert cable.
