Founder Keith McMillen conceived the K-Mix as a unique mixer, unlike any other product. Visually, it already resembles one of his controllers much more than a mixer.

It is fully programmable, MIDI controllable, very portable, and offers professional audio quality.

In practice, the K-Mix is an 8 Input /10 Output audio mixer and a programmable mixer.

It features two professional low-noise preamplifiers and an optical-tactile control surface designed to control any DAW with eight channel faders, one master fader, four rotary controls, nine channel selection buttons, four bank selection buttons, and 17 function buttons.

The mixer is USB powered and supports completely flexible routing. Its internal DSP includes three-band semi-parametric equalization, compressor/limiter, gate, master reverb (with individual channel sends), surround output (Quadraphonic, 5.1, 7.1, and Octophonic), and can also operate without a computer.

The eight inputs are balanced analog with two XLR/TRS combo jacks and six 1/4" TRS jacks with up to +28dB of gain.

There are eight 1/4" TRS analog outputs plus a Micro-USB digital connection providing bi-directional audio and 24-bit/96kHz conversion.

We also find full MIDI I/O, a second Mini-USB connection for power, and MIDI I/O to an optional expander.

One of the most brilliant ideas behind this mixer/interface is that it has no moving parts, which makes it particularly robust and proof against breakage and transport, with nothing that can detach or break if quickly put in a bag.
