KORG KDM-3 BK is a digital metronome with an elegant design similar to a traditional mechanical metronome, but with more compact dimensions. KDM-3 BK fits on all surfaces, from tables to pianos, and features advanced functions such as musical meter adjustment, three tempo adjustment modes, 8 audio reference clicks, and also has a closed cabinet that functions as a resonance box for the internal speaker, making the instrument always clearly audible even in noisy environments such as rehearsal rooms or theaters. You can choose KDM-3 in two colors: black or white.

8 metronome sounds, including that of the mechanical metronome

The design is not the only element with which this unit resembles a mechanical metronome. In fact, KDM-3 BK also has the typical sound produced by a traditional metronome. To adapt to various musical needs, it is of course possible to choose from other timbres including: Cowbell, Rimshot or voice. All these sounds are defined, easy to hear, and always perfectly perceptible, even in the presence of other instruments.

19 Beat Patterns capable of supporting every musical genre

On KDM-3 BK you can set the traditional beat movements from 0 to 9, choosing from duplets, triplets, triplets with the central value omitted, quadruplets, and quadruplets with the central values omitted. In addition to these, there are other variations such as Son Clave and Rumba Clave, for a total of 19 internal patterns. The tempo can be easily set from 32 to 252 BPM. From classical to pop, jazz and Latin, this unit is able to meet all rhythmic support needs across a wide range of musical genres and styles.

"Timer" mode convenient for practice

This function starts the metronome for a set period of time and then automatically stops it; it is very useful for warm-ups or for practicing rhythmic rudiments.

One-Touch operations and large visibility display

The START/STOP button located on top of the unit flashes in two colors, red and green, providing a clear visual indication of the tempo. It is also possible to practice with the volume set to zero. The TEMPO/CALIB knob on the top panel allows you to easily enter the necessary numeric settings, always clearly visible on the large display.

Sound Out mode for tuning by listening to a reference audio signal

The Sound Out mode produces a reference signal from the built-in speaker or headphones, allowing you to tune your instrument by ear. It can generate 12 different tones in a range from C4 (261.63 Hz) to B4 (493.88 Hz). The reference frequency (Diapason) can be adjusted from 410 Hz to 480 Hz.

Adjusting the tempo speed

You can set the tempo speed using three different methods:

    
• Pendulum Step, which allows you to increase or decrease the tempo speed with the same numerical increments as a traditional metronome.
    
• Full Step, determines the metronomic speed in single increments within a range of 30 to 252 BPM.
    
• Tap Tempo, sets the speed by simply tapping in time on the TAP button.

Memory Backup and Auto Power-Off

The Memory Backup function stores the set parameters related to tempo, beat, calibration, and reference frequency, even after the metronome is turned off (*). Auto Power Off automatically turns off the unit after 20 minutes of inactivity.

(*) These settings are initialized after replacing the batteries

Operating Autonomy

KDM-3 BK guarantees approximately 120 hours of autonomy for continuous use at 120 BPM and maximum volume. Even with daily practice, there is no need to worry about the remaining battery charge.
