Among the most important analog synthesizers ever created, Roland's iconic JUNO line has had a huge impact on music for over four decades. The warm, natural sounds of the JUNO-60 and JUNO-106 are at the heart of countless 80s pop hits and played a starring role in the progressive rise of techno, house, synthwave, and other electronic styles. Unmistakable and timeless, the classic JUNO sound continues to inspire established musicians worldwide.

JUNO-X combines the best of the past with the latest Roland technologies, reimagining the vintage JUNO experience with vast sonic possibilities and intuitive features, optimized for today's music production. It provides the full capabilities of the native ZEN-Core sound engine, along with detailed replicas of JUNO synthesizers and other iconic Roland instruments.

Three JUNOs in one.

JUNO-X delivers the true sounds of the JUNO-60 and JUNO-106 in all their glory, along with a new JUNO-X engine that enhances the JUNO spirit with greater power and musical expressiveness.

JUNO-X

The new JUNO-X model features a natural evolution of the historic JUNO voice. Create even fuller sounds thanks to an optimized version of the famous Roland Super Saw waveform, and push further with velocity sensitivity, pitch envelope control, and much more. There is also a new Chorus III mode that complements the two highly appreciated chorus models of the original JUNO.

JUNO-60

Introduced in 1982, the JUNO-60 was a true milestone that greatly influenced the synthesizer landscape to come. Succeeding its close relative JUNO-6, it offered polyphonic synthesis at an affordable price, with a stable digitally controlled oscillator (DCO). The intense character, intuitive interface, and absolutely reliable pitch of the JUNO-60, along with a rich chorus effect and the ability to save sounds in internal memories, made this synthesizer an icon from its first appearance.

JUNO-106

In 1984, the JUNO-106 further expanded on its predecessor's success with more memories and the revolutionary new MIDI interface. It also offered a slightly softer and more defined sound character, while the JUNO-60's arpeggiator was replaced by an exceptional polyphonic portamento function. Adopted by an even wider audience, the more affordable JUNO-106 became one of the best-selling synthesizers of all time.

A step beyond JUNO.

XV-5080, RD-Piano, and Vocoder

Explore over 900 PCM presets from the famous XV-5080 module, from acoustic instruments and vintage synths, to drums and other sounds. A key element of JUNO's appeal was its direct and linear interface, which made it simple to create inspiring sounds and evolving textures in moments. With a familiar-looking panel rich in responsive controls, JUNO-X invites you to fully immerse yourself in music and create without limits.

Tactile workflow.

The JUNO-X workflow is direct and intuitive, and everything is exactly where it should be. High-resolution sliders offer an analog response with precise digital control, while dedicated buttons allow you to instantly recall functions and sounds. When you want to delve into details, the information-rich LCD offers clear navigation through a wide range of advanced parameters.

The richest combinations.

Vintage JUNO synths offered modest sonic capabilities with a single DCO. With JUNO-X, you can layer multiple JUNOs to create any type of sound with a typical analog flavor, from the most powerful leads and basses to the richest and most intense pads. Or, you can combine Model Expansions with built-in sounds to create never-before-heard dream synths. Create layers with up to four sounds simultaneously, with all the polyphony needed to tackle any creative adventure.

A scenic view.

With 256 customizable creative spaces called Scenes, you can instantly recall complete JUNO-X configurations with a single touch. Save sound parameters for the four instrumental parts and the drum part, along with I-Arpeggio settings, effects, and more.

Extra modulation.

One of JUNO's most loved features was a peculiar stereo chorus effect, which instantly added richness and depth. JUNO-X offers both modes of the original, along with a third mode that is even fuller and richer in modulation. Better yet: you can combine them to create seven different chorus effects, to use with any JUNO-X sound.

Modern multi-effects.

In addition to JUNO choruses, JUNO-X includes an endless variety of additional effects to color your sounds. Independent multi-effects and equalization are available for the different parts, along with distortion, delay, and reverb. You'll also have master equalization and compression effects at hand, with dedicated vocal effects for the microphone input.

Arpeggio in action.

Whether you're looking for classic arpeggios or something to push you further, JUNO-X is the right choice. Use the traditional arpeggiator to create retro atmospheres. Or travel into the future with I-Arpeggio, which uses intelligent algorithms to enrich your music with natural note changes and movement. It is also possible to export I-Arpeggio MIDI performances for further development in any DAW.

The rear panel of JUNO-X is ready to connect in any situation. Balanced and unbalanced audio outputs are available, along with a stereo audio input and MIDI in/out. In addition, there is a microphone input for vocal performances or to control the internal Vocoder. USB audio/MIDI support allows you to interface with your favorite music production software, giving you the ability to save backup copies of JUNO-X data to a flash drive via the USB Memory port.
