When Kevin Scott of the legendary American band Gov't Mule asked for a tube head, Jad Freer Audio seized the opportunity to develop VOLTA, exceeding all expectations.

Named after the Italian physics genius Alessandro Volta, the all-tube bass head VOLTA is the pinnacle of JF sound and philosophy, embracing the best of old-school sound and modern technology and construction.

VOLTA features the best of both classic tube amplification legacies: an "American" style tube bass preamplifier with a classic and organic "James" style passive stack paired with a "British" style all-tube power amplifier. Thanks to the switching power supply, the response is faster and more complete, while maintaining compact dimensions and super light weight.
