Jackson Audio is proud to collaborate with Cory Wong, one of today's most prominent guitarists, to bring you The Optimist. An updated version of the legendary Klon circuit, arguably the most celebrated and sought-after drive pedals of all time, merging it with an independent Timmy-style circuit.

The Optimist also adds Jackson Audio's MIDI control and a killer 3-band EQ section, making the pedal a unique product for creating some of today's most refined and inspiring sounds.

OD1 is based on the legendary, most expensive, and hardest-to-find overdrive ever created. Despite all the hype, this magical pedal is still one of the most natural overdrives ever made.

Jackson Audio has reproduced this circuit in minute detail to provide the sound sought after in this legendary pedal. Additionally, it has been updated with an active (bypassable) EQ to take this classic circuit into uncharted territory.

Just like the original circuit, OD1 features nearly impossible-to-find germanium diodes to deliver the best possible sound. In stark contrast to OD1's mid-focused sound, OD2 is designed to be perfectly flat across the guitar's entire range.

Perfect for rhythm work, OD2 is a perfect harmonic enhancer for OD1 when you want to push it further.

Based on the legendary Baxandall EQ found in countless studio equalizers, The Optimist's EQ takes this circuit and adapts it for guitarists.

The Optimist offers MIDI control over all functions. OD1, OD2, and EQ can be controlled via MIDI for unlimited sound choices.
