The BLOOM V2 is a triple device capable of manipulating the instrument's dynamics through precisely tuned optical compression, a 3-band EQ, and boost and sustain circuits that can be activated separately or in tandem, for compression control in ways previously impossible.

The BLOOM V2 features an optical limiting circuit inspired by compressors designed during the golden age of tube circuits, known for their transparency and delicacy.

While capable of providing a very aggressive response when using the most extreme compression settings, the true strength of this pedal lies in its ability to gently sweeten the sound, giving it roundness, while the optical circuit acts to eliminate any uneven edges.

Inside the BLOOM V2 lies a second auxiliary compression circuit, identical to the main compressor, with two internal trimmers for Comp and Volume. It can be placed in series before the main compression circuit to sustain notes while remaining clear and clean.

The BLOOM V2 can operate as a normal boost, set once and for all. However, by pressing and holding the footswitch, the BLOOM circuit gradually increases the level, rising to the set boost level. The time of this increase is programmable and can be used to increase the sustain of held notes or to perfectly match dynamics in a song.

The 3-band EQ circuit allows for studio-quality equalization, providing extraordinary tonal flexibility. Based on the legendary Baxandall EQ found in countless studio devices, the BLOOM V2 takes this circuit and adapts it to the needs of guitarists. Jackson Audio spent an enormous amount of time tuning this EQ to act on all frequencies that guitarists need to adjust, then sweetening the result by removing the high and low-end parts that cause listening fatigue when using extreme settings.

Thanks to its natural and touch-sensitive behavior, the BLOOM V2 pedal is ideal for musicians who typically don't use compression, but who desire the typical "mastered" sound response that optical compression gives to a guitarist's tone. When you add MIDI control of individual Bypass circuits (Compressor, EQ, BLOOM) and the overall BLOOM level (adjustable via expression control via MIDI), it's easy to see how the BLOOM V2 is undoubtedly one of the most versatile pedal compressors ever made.
