Description

Novation IMPULSE 49 is a USB MIDI Controller, with a 49-key semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keyboard with assignable aftertouch and HRS (High-Rate-Scan) technology that scans the keyboard 10,000 times per second. It integrates 8 potentiometers, 8 velocity- and pressure-sensitive backlit pads, 9 faders with 9 solo/mute buttons, an arpeggiator, pitch and mod wheels, transport controls, and a large LCD screen. Compatible with most DAWs on the market.

Super Expressive Keyboard

In designing Impulse 49, Novation fully dedicated itself to creating an extremely expressive keyboard. Extremely responsive, with semi-weighted action and aftertouch, its full-size piano-style keys are wonderfully suited for virtual organs, synths, and pianos. Novation's HRS (High Rate Scan) technology "reads" the keyboard 10,000 times per second, capturing every nuance and detail of your performance with an incredible degree of precision.

Full Control of Your DAW

Take command of your mix and shape sounds using the Impulse 49's infinite rotary potentiometers, 45mm low-profile faders, numerous buttons, and an LCD screen. Each control can be manually assigned to any DAW or plug-in parameter via MIDI.

More Action with the Pads

The Impulse 49's eight backlit, pressure-sensitive pads are perfect for playing and recording drum and percussion tracks, thanks to the roll mode that simplifies automatic note repetition. In addition to beats, the arp mode allows real-time arpeggio processing using the pads, while in Ableton Live they can be assigned as multi-colored clip launchers: yellow for a loaded clip, green for a playing clip, and red for a recording clip.

Impulse 49 Connections

The Impulse 49 controller can be powered via USB bus and can be used by simply connecting it to a Mac or PC, without the need for a separate power supply. Furthermore, it is also suitable for live use, thanks to the presence of a 5-pin DIN MIDI output that allows connection to hardware synthesizers and sound modules.

Seamless Integration with Ableton Live

A great controller needs great software. In Ableton Live Lite, you can control the mixer, use transport controls, launch clips via the pads, and launch scenes.
