The five-piece Maple and Jatoba neck provides strength and stability, resisting warping and adding resonance and snap.

Sonically, the EHB605 is equipped with Ibanez's α1 pickups, specially built for modern bass tones. They deliver clarity across the spectrum, with strong lows and ample midrange definition to help lines stand out. The built-in Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ offers a wide range of tonal choices without over-complicating things, allowing you to easily adjust punch, warmth, or brightness. A clever trick is the EQ bypass switch, which lets you instantly switch to passive mode and use the treble knob as a traditional tone control. This setup offers true flexibility on stage, in the studio, or at home, without ever losing the bass's fundamental character.
