Ibanez's AZ series features a comfortable oval neck and an asymmetrical yet well-balanced body shape, a new tremolo bridge, and new pickups developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan.

The Dyna-MIX 10 switch offers 10 different sound combinations, while the Power Tap provides a truly realistic "single coil" sound despite the two-humbucker configuration.

The T1502 bridge, developed in collaboration with Gotoh, features steel saddles for faster response and improved articulation.

The 10.5mm string spacing allows for easier passages and the use of techniques such as string skipping and hybrid picking.
