The Artcore Expressionist series represents the next chapter in the history of Ibanez's legendary hollow-body guitars. For decades, the company has renewed the market with a variety of designs — from rock-oriented semi-hollow hybrids to classic jazz-boxes. The distinctive feature of the Expressionist is its original Super 58 pickups, also found on George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield's signature models.

These pickups stand out for their warmth, balanced articulation, and excellent response — qualities that make them perfect for jazz and many other genres. The three-piece Nyatoh/Maple neck ensures balanced resonance and a solid foundation of mids and lows, while the Macassar ebony fretboard guarantees crystal-clear highs, quick response, and prolonged sustain. The medium-sized frets promote precision and comfort in phrasing.

The flamed maple (Quilted Ash) top, back, and sides not only impress with their elegant grain but also offer a bright, dynamic tone with ample sustain. The proven Super 58 pickups deliver medium output and a classic vintage sound. The package is completed by the Gibraltar Performer bridge, which ensures excellent tuning stability and sustain, and the Quik Change III tailpiece, which makes string changes particularly easy.
