The AEG50 features a new preamp, the Ibanez AEQ-TTS. This small and simple preamp has only 2 controls: volume and shape. This intuitive control allows for a natural acoustic sound in the central position. It also allows you to easily adjust the sound, going from the lowest and fullest tones to the highest and brightest with the action of a simple control. A new and intuitive LCD tuner is built into the preamp itself.

The AEG50 has a very understated rosette, binding and headstock ornaments. These fine details add a sleek and stylish touch to the guitar.
