The AEG is an acoustic-electric guitar from the AEG series, which has been updated in its electronics and look. The changes are based on the concept of "simplicity and ease of control". The AEG50 features a new preamp, the Ibanez AEQ-TTS. This small and simple preamp has only 2 controls: volume and shape, which provides a natural acoustic sound in the center position. It also allows for easy sound adjustment, going from lower, fuller tones to higher, brighter ones with the action of a single control. A new and intuitive LCD tuner is built into the preamp itself. The AEG50 has a very understated rosette, binding, and headstock ornamentation. These fine details add a sleek and stylish touch to the guitar.
