The AEG has been a compact body and comfortable neck acoustic-electric guitar for over two decades, known for its playability.

Ibanez is now pleased to announce that the AEG series has been updated with new electronics and a fresh look. The changes are based on the concept of "simplicity and ease of control."

The AEG50 features a new preamp, the Ibanez AEQ-TTS. This small and simple preamp has only two controls: volume and shape. This intuitive control allows for a natural acoustic sound in the center position. It also allows for easy sound adjustment, moving from lower, fuller tones to higher, brighter ones with the action of a single control.

A new, intuitive LCD tuner is built into the preamp itself.

The AEG50 has a very understated rosette, binding, and headstock ornamentation. These fine details add a sleek and stylish touch to the guitar.

Other features include a spruce top, sapele back and sides, the T-bar II undersaddle pickup that equalizes the volume of each individual string and perfectly balances the output signal, and special Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for even easier string changes.
