The HotShot DM-1 is a simple passive footswitch that quickly reroutes the signal without interrupting the performance. Using the DM-1 is simple: just connect any dynamic microphone to the input and send the main XLR output to the mixer, then connect the cable from the DM-1's second output to the common intercom bus. As soon as the footswitch is pressed, the signal sent to the main output is muted and rerouted to the monitoring system. This allows the musician to discreetly speak with other band members or discuss a problem with the technicians.
