Hipshot® Grip-Lock™ tuners are the easiest way to improve the look, feel and functionality of your headstock. The open-gear design elegantly blends modern and vintage sensibilities. The 18:1 tuning ratio and locking function provide the easiest stringing and best tuning stability available on the market. It's no wonder they are the choice of the most experienced musicians in the industry.

The tuners are sold individually to accommodate non-traditional configurations (e.g. 4+2 or 7 in-line). Check out our upgrade kits, compatible with the most common headstock types.

18:1 ratio for precise adjustment

The Grip-Lock™ pin and knurled wheel system secure the end of the string for complete tuning stability without the strings wrapping around the pin.

The string post hole accommodates strings up to .060" (we can enlarge it to .090" with a special order)

Compatible with 13/32" [10 mm] headstock holes.

Open Gear tuners come with HS buttons by default with many button options available.

String posts available in various lengths for optimal break angle over the nut.

Includes screw, washer and nut for mounting.

Compatible with UMP™ (Universal Mounting Plate) (sold separately).

Bass or treble side mounting options.
