<h1 style="text-align: justify;">The HD-35 (2025) is a Dreadnought-shaped acoustic guitar from Martin & Co.'s "Standard" series, featuring an elegant three-piece back, Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, a selected Hardwood neck, and an Ebony fretboard. It is characterized by GE-Scalloped bracing that provides greater brilliance and sound projection, a further lowered GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, and a heel, neck, and bridge with more beveled edges for increased comfort, along with bone bridge pins. It has a 44.45 mm nut width, a 645 mm scale length, and a gloss finish on the top, sides, and back.</h1><h2>Overview of the HD-35 (2025) by Martin & Co.</h2><p style="text-align: justify;">One of Martin's best-kept secrets, the HD-35 builds on the legendary D-35 with its three-piece back, bound fretboard, and unmistakable classic herringbone purfling around the top. This rare instrument, before the current upgrade, received an update in 2018, with the introduction of scalloped bracing on the top to improve tone and a modified Low Oval neck profile for excellent playability. The HD-35 combines a spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, resulting in a pure Martin sound enriched by powerful bass.<br />One of the main novelties of the 2025 Standard series is the use of Golden Era (GE) Sitka spruce bracing for the top, a detail also present in the Modern Deluxe series, which provides a more vintage and airy tone with enhanced sustain. The modified "Low Oval" GE neck profile maintains the classic shape but has been optimized to offer a vintage appeal. The fretboard has been thinned and features rounded edges for greater comfort, while the string spacing at the nut has been perfected. The new GE "modern belly" bridge has softer and more comfortable angles. Standard Series guitars now come equipped with bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model.
