Based on the classic single cut Starfire II and III, the Starfire I SC features a 2" thick body with a bridge block that increases stability and resonance. Made with a maple top, back, and sides, the Starfire I SC offers the airy tone of a hollow body, with brilliant overtones and pronounced lows. The 24 3/4" scale length and modern thin "U" neck provide fast and dynamic playability, while the premium Guild 18 tuners and Tune-o-matic bridge ensure easy tuning and intonation. A shot of vintage sound is guaranteed by the Guild HB-2 Alnico II humbuckers, and the push-pull coil split allows extensive tone control over each pickup. For those looking for something extra, the Starfire I SC with a Guild vibrato arm is equipped with a sliding tension bar, to increase its versatility.
