Guild Jumbo Junior Bass Antique Charcoal Burst Short Scale

We chose a solid Sitka spruce top and flamed maple arched back, used for centuries in double bass construction, to provide a deep and defined tone unthinkable for such a small instrument. The back, sides, and neck are finished with an antique satin blonde finish that adds depth and unique character thanks to the beautiful wood grain. The low, deep voice of the Jumbo Junior can be amplified or recorded using the Fishman Sonitone BT-1 active bass pickup specially designed for Guild; the system includes volume and tone controls. Other important features include a maple neck with a C-profile, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut (41mm) and saddle, mother-of-pearl rosette, mother-of-pearl Guild logo on the headstock, tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, and phosphor bronze strings with a nylon core. The finish is satin, natural for the top and blonde for the back and sides.
