Here's the big comeback of a very popular Guild semi-hollow guitar, the Starfire IV ST - VSB, with an extra-thin double-cutaway body and incomparable feel and sound. The original Starfire IV was a favorite of many guitarists from the mid-1960s for its rock soul, and its spirit permeates this new reissue. The guitar is built around a maple body with arched top and back with ivory and cream ABS binding, a solid three-piece mahogany neck (Soft U profile) with maple center reinforcement, a 629mm scale length, a 43mm nut width, and an Indian rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The features include Guild LB-1 Little Bucker ALNiCo 5 pickups, replicas of the original Guild mini-humbuckers. These pickups have a sound that is right in between a humbucker and a mini-humbucker. It features a Tune-o-matic bridge with a stopbar tailpiece, open-gear Sta-Tite tuners with an 18:1 ratio, and a classic vintage sunburst gloss polyurethane finish. Includes TKL hardshell case.
