Description

Based on the classic single-cut Starfire II and III, the Starfire I SC features a 2" thick body like the best semi-hollow bodies, with a bridge block that increases stability and resonance. The top, back (arched), and sides are made of maple, as is the neck with a 43mm nut, and the fretboard is Indian rosewood. The Starfire I SC offers the airy tone of a semi-hollow body, with bright overtones and pronounced lows. The 24 3/4" (629mm) scale and modern slim "U" neck ensure excellent playability. Premium Guild tuners with an 18:1 ratio and a Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece guarantee easy tuning and perfect intonation. A vintage sound injection is provided by Guild HB-2 Alnico II humbuckers, and the push-pull allows you to split the pickup coils according to your needs. The binding and purfling are made of ABS, with a glossy polyurethane Antique Sunburst finish.
