Description

Guild redefined the standard for acoustic bass production in the mid-1970s with the introduction of the B-50, based on the then-popular jumbo shape. The B-140E revives that tradition with a powerful sound that can be easily amplified with the onboard Fishman BT-1 Sonitone system. Constructed with a solid Sitka spruce top, and solid African mahogany back and sides, the B-140E features a bone nut and saddle, and a mother-of-pearl rosette. The nut has a 1½” (40 mm) width, the scale length is 864 mm, the C-profile neck is made of mahogany, and the iconic Chesterfield headstock, an emblem of 1960s Guilds, bears a mother-of-pearl logo. The vintage-style pickguard is made of tortoiseshell celluloid, and the tuners are Guild Die-cast. The included new lightweight Guild polyfoam case ensures the instrument's integrity. Available in a natural gloss polyurethane finish.
