The Les Paul Standard 50s Mahogany Top retains the classic design that made it famous, making it one of the most loved and played guitars of all time, shaping sound across generations and musical genres. It pays homage to Gibson's golden age of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. The Les Paul Standard 50s Mahogany Top features a solid mahogany body with a mahogany top, replacing the traditional maple. This is a characteristic shared with some Les Paul Customs, many of which also have entirely mahogany bodies, resulting in a slightly warmer tone with more pronounced mids. Everything you love about the Les Paul Standard 50s remains unchanged, including the mahogany neck with a rounded 50s Vintage profile and a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. It is also equipped with an ABR-1, the classic Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum stop bar, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and black Top Hat knobs. The Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are powered by Alnico 2 magnets and wired with logarithmic potentiometers and Orange Drop™ capacitors.
