Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble Vintage Honey Burst

The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble is enhanced with all the features and tones of the classic Standard 50s models but with an even more vintage charm. These limited-edition Les Paul models differ from the Standard 50s in two ways. First, the Burstbucker™ 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are uncovered, and each features Double Classic White bobbins and standard Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference is in the finish, whose colorations are "vintage" variants of the standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. Our standard gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes replicate those of newly produced 50s models, while the full gloss of the vintage nitrocellulose lacquer finishes on the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble models appear slightly faded compared to the standard versions, recalling the delicate aging that occurs over the years. The hand-spraying makes the burst patterns different from guitar to guitar.

Of course, all the features that made the Les Paul Standard 50s models so popular, such as the unweight-relieved solid mahogany body with AA flame maple top, the vintage 50s-style rounded mahogany neck, the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays, have been retained. The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble features an ABR-1, the classic Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs with pointers. The calibrated and uncovered Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are internally identical to their standard Burstbucker counterparts, with the exception of the Double Classic White bobbins. They are handmade by the Gibson Pickup Shop, feature Alnico 2 magnets, and are hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. The Double Classic White bobbins and vintage finishes give the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble an elegant vintage touch. Despite the vintage-look finish and accessible price, production is limited to only 500 guitars per color, resulting in limited availability. Hurry and get your favorite before it's too late.
